Partnership establishes first formal certification pathway for professionals participating in modernized loan payoff and lien release workflows
DALLAS, [July 28, 2026]-- The National Loan Payoff Clearinghouse™ (NLPC), powered by EPIC™, today announced that RockED has been named the Official Industry Certification Partner for the NLPC, creating a formal education and certification pathway for automotive professionals participating in the modernization of loan payoff, lien release, and title transparency workflows.
The partnership brings together EPIC’s national financial infrastructure for loan payoff settlement with RockED’s automotive education platform to help dealers, lenders, insurers, and industry technology partners adopt modern payoff workflows.
For many automotive businesses, loan payoff and lien release remain fragmented and manual. Varied lender processes, paper checks, overnight shipping, limited payoff visibility, and inconsistent title tracking can create delays, exceptions, and unnecessary operational friction.
“The NLPC was built to modernize one of the most important and overlooked financial workflows in automotive,” said Brandon Hall, CEO of EPIC. “But infrastructure alone is not enough. If we want the industry to move away from fragmented, manual processes, we also need education, certification, and a shared operating standard. RockED is the right partner to help bring that to market.”
RockED will support the development and delivery of certification content designed to educate industry professionals on modernized payoff workflows, including payoff quoting, settlement, reconciliation, lien release, title tracking, and operational best practices across the NLPC network.
“We’re honored to be selected by EPIC as the Official Industry Certification Partner for the National Loan Payoff Clearinghouse,” said Matthias Stoever, Co-Founder and CEO of RockED. “The industry is moving toward a more connected, standardized model, and education will be critical to that transition. Our goal is to help professionals understand not only how the NLPC works, but why it matters to the future of automotive operations.”
The initiative reflects a broader industry shift toward standardized financial infrastructure for vehicle loan payoff transactions as increasingly complex vehicle transactions drive demand for more efficient, transparent, and reliable ways to manage payoff and lien release workflows.
The certification pathway will be designed to help organizations train their teams, reduce workflow confusion, improve operational consistency, and accelerate adoption of the NLPC model.
