Do (5 mins)
*Supplies Needed*- Piece of paper, pen
- Today we will develop your SUCCESS STORY to share with your customers.
- Hand out a piece of paper to all teammates.
- (READ ALOUD) Think about a time you solved a problem for a customer, what was the outcome? This is a success story. Now it’s time to put your success story on paper. Your SUCCESS STORY must include:
- A problem a customer had
- A solution you gave them
- A tangible benefit for the customer
*Remember, this is something you’ll need to be able to repeat to a customer, so make sure it makes sense*
- Give the team 5 mins to write down their SUCCESS STORY.
- Now ask everyone to partner up with a teammate. Let everyone know that each teammate must role-play their SUCCESS STORY then give them 5 mins to complete the role plays.
- Set a timer for 5 mins.
- Begin role-play.
- Float around the room to make sure all partners are roleplaying.
- When 5 mins are up, ask for a volunteer to come up and share with the team their SUCCESS STORY.
BONUS: Give a gift card to the person who volunteers. If you struggle with participation during role plays, make this gift card a more significant amount than normal! This should encourage future participation.

- Remember, SUCCESS STORIES are effective for building confidence in new relationships or when trying to convert lapsed ones back into buyers.
